Aesthetic Experts Meeting 2024 Recap: Elevating Aesthetic Innovation
The Aesthetic Experts Meeting 2024, hosted by Hans Biomed USA, was designed to elevate the knowledge and skills of aesthetic practitioners by providing them with the most current advancements in the industry. This event aimed to empower attendees with comprehensive education on three main products: MINT™ PDO threads, klárdie skin boosters, and TargetCool cryotherapy.
MINT™ PDO threads, renowned for their efficacy in non-surgical lifting and contouring, were showcased through live demonstrations, offering attendees firsthand experience with this transformative technology. Klárdie skin boosters, featuring advanced formulations for prejuvenation and hydration, were highlighted for their ability to enhance skin health and vitality. Lastly, TargetCool cryotherapy was presented as a state-of-the-art solution for cooling treatments, providing both patients and practitioners with superior results and comfort.
The Aesthetic Experts Meeting, aka AEM, was a truly memorable event, offering attendees a deep dive into the latest advancements in the aesthetics field over two action-packed days. Day 1: Virtual Main Event: A Gathering of Expertise
The first day of the Aesthetic Experts Meeting 2024 was a fully virtual experience that connected aesthetic professionals from around the world. The day kicked off with engaging presentations by top Key Opinion Leaders (KOL), each sharing their expertise on the latest trends and techniques in aesthetics.
Gideon Kwok, DO, moderated the sessions, guiding attendees through a series of informative talks. Lori Robertson, MSN, FNP-C, highlighted the advanced delivery methods and impressive results of klárdie skin boosters. Theresa Huyen, MD, shared practical tips for achieving optimal outcomes with MINT™ PDO threads. Lisa Vuich, MD, demonstrated how to enhance lift and longevity with MINT FIX & FIX MINI, and Jennifer K. Song, MD, PhD, presented a pre-recorded live demo on jawline contouring using PDO threads.
These KOLs not only provided valuable insights but also engaged with attendees through live Q&A sessions, ensuring participants could apply what they learned. The virtual format encouraged a global exchange of ideas, setting the stage for the hands-on learning that followed on the second day.
A highlight of the event was the demonstration of TargetCool, the cryotherapy device that enhances the delivery of klárdie skin boosters, promising better patient outcomes with minimal pain and downtime.
The day wrapped up with an exclusive dinner at Fogo de Chão Brea, where our VIP attendees had the opportunity to network, share insights, and celebrate the day's achievements in a relaxed and elegant setting.
Day 2: VIP Exclusive: An Intimate, Hands-On Experience
Day 2 of the Aesthetic Experts Meeting 2024 was an exclusive VIP event held at Skin Perfect Brea, bringing together 26 practitioners for an immersive, hands-on learning experience. The day featured six live demonstrations led by expert KOLs from both the U.S. and South Korea. These experts shared advanced techniques in real time, allowing attendees to engage directly, ask questions, and gain practical skills in procedures like midface and neck thread lifts, as well as the innovative use of klárdie skin boosters with TargetCool cryotherapy.
In addition to the educational sessions, the day included a fun event where attendees received a plushie of our MINT Lift Korea mascot Song Song-e, adding a cute and interactive touch to the experience. This blend of in-depth learning, direct interaction with experts, and a bit of fun, made the day both highly educational and enjoyable for all who attended.

The success of AEM 2024 was made possible by the contributions of our distinguished speakers and moderator, each bringing their unique expertise to the event:
Gideon Kwok, DO – Dr. Kwok joined the stage on Day 2 to personally demonstrate one of the features of TargetCool: Cooling Mode. This mode uses innovative infrared sensors to precisely control the temperature of the targeted spot. By instantly cooling the spot and following with an injection seconds later, TargetCool greatly reduced the pain in a highly sensitive area like the scalp. This session highlighted the benefits of TargetCool by enhancing patient comfort for scalp treatments via Cooling Mode and increasing results and healing by delivering exosomes via Boosting Mode.
Lori Robertson, MSN, FNP-C – Lori showcased that klárdie skin boosters, when combined with TargetCool Boosting delivery, enhances hydration, elasticity, and overall skin appearance. While the patient model was surprised by the sound of the device, she shared that she didn’t feel any pain from the “ice needling” of TargetCool Boosting. In fact, the patient said that her skin felt very refreshed from the cooling sensation. Lori then emphasized her didactic from AEM Day 1, saying that this combination provides advanced treatments that improve patient comfort and outcomes, leading to higher satisfaction and better results.
Theresa Huyen, MD – Dr. Huyen shared valuable insights into PDO thread techniques for the midface and nose. She attended the MINT™ Worldwide Expert Meeting in Korea this year, where she learned from many of our long-standing Korean KOLs and was able to train with Dr. Sooyeon Park, who has performed the most MINT™ PDO thread lift cases out of any of our MINT faculty in South Korea. Dr. Huyen shared some of the tips that she picked up from her recent travels, as well as throughout the years that she has been training for MINT in the US.
Lisa Vuich, MD – Dr. Vuich delivered a didactic on optimizing the longevity and lift of results with MINT™ FIX and FIX-MINI. Her session included a detailed live demonstration showcasing advanced techniques for midface and neck thread lifts. Dr. Vuich provided practical, hands-on advice, emphasizing key application strategies and considerations to achieve the best outcomes. Her expert guidance aimed to help attendees refine their skills and enhance their results with PDO threads.
